38 Weeks. Come on!

37 Weeks. Full Term.

From here out we’ll post when something actually happens. Cletus is still spinning around in circles, causing Molly to list left and list right. She’s getting up 3 times every night. Not sure how the baby arriving would cause worse sleep (save the snarkiness.) So….wait-ting.

36 Weeks- Still pregnant

We think the kid flipped from feet left to feet right. He spun around 180 degrees on-axis. Stuck the landing right in Molly’s rib. By the frequency of Molly’s painful exclamations I estimate Cletus to weight 14 pounds. I am under the weather and exhausted today, so labor is no doubt imminent.

In the kitchen, we received our weekly CSA vegetable delivery today from the folks at Ridgeland Harvest up in Viroqua. We ordered a full-share this year, instead of last year’s half-share, and it’s preposterous. In the best sense. We are challenged to finish it all each week for sure. 2 bags of leaf lettuce and 2 heads of romaine today, and our garden is already popping with lettuce, kale, and chard at the same time. Cletus will be born green. I ate a fava bean, thinking it was a large odd pea, and declared it the worst pea in the whole world. We dropped one and Ella ate it sure enough. She doesn’t know a pea from a fava.

Today marks 35 weeks of Cletus. I hardly believe it.

Molly should begin waddling any day now, according to the automated ‘this week in your pregnancy’ email we receive every Wednesday.
