No, Motel 6, I will not pay three bucks for wifi in this day and age. I will type and post my blog from this silly little iphone So this will be short, folks. We are just west of Savannah, GA, on pur way down to Tampa for the week. Aunt Kerry, uncle Calvin, and Babbee are waiting for us there. So is the warm weather- happy holidays all!
Early this week we had the holiday staff party at Vietnam (the restaurant.) Picture below. Thanks April for putting on the shin dig.
Silas unwrapped his first gifts on Wednesday- some old-skool (not PlaySkool) toys from Grandpa McGlone. They were hits, particularly the game where you smash balls through holes with a mallet. Picture below.
We also unveiled Silas’ second gift, which is a cool kitchen set we bought used from a closed down home daycare in south Philly. It’s built industrial style. Silas didn’t have much time to play with it before we left, but I think he likes it. The daycare threw in some plastic play-food that smells funny. That went in the recycling.
I shouldn’t report this but I’d like to record it for my own benefit… We’ve known for a while that Silas understands everything we say, and so we need to watch our mouths, but today I slipped up and Silas busted me. On I95 a car changed lanes right on our front bumper without signaling. “You d!ck….” I muttered. “You d!ck…” echoed back from behind me. Oops. He hasn’t repeated it since, so cross the fingers it didn’t make it to the long term memory and “awww, bummer,” continues to be his favorite expression of displeasure.
Tomorrow morning we roll into Tampa so we need to hit the hay. It has taken me two hours to type this with my thumbs.
We hope you’re all safe and sound and in good company this holiday season. All the best.

Awesome, thank you iPhone!
